Couples who brought their romance from reel to real-life
We all know the drill: when a drama starts, we get sucked into the world it creates and unknowingly start rooting for the couples we believe should end up together. Once in a while, however, these reel-life couples take it a step further and see romance blossom even when the cameras stop rolling.
Take the Song-Song couple for example. Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo have recently confirmed that they will be getting married on October 31, and that they started dating while filming their hit drama Descendants of the Sun. (Now we know why their on-screen chemistry was so believable.)
They’re not the only ones who have seen this transition from reel to real-life lovers, as new-generation powerhouse couples such as Fan Bing Bing and Li Chen, along with Song Seung Heon and Liu Yifei have also gone public in the last few years.

Ryu Jun Yeol and Girl’s Day’s Hyeri
Found love on the set of Reply 1988
Well, well. There was outrage from the Junghwan (Ryu Jun Yeol’s character) camp when Reply 1988 ended with *SPOILER ALERT* Deoksun (Hyeri’s character) choosing Taek (Park Bo Gum’s character). These same fans are probably popping bottles of champagne right now as Ryu Jun Yeol and Hyeri confirmed that they started dating recently.
Both artistes’ companies confirmed the news on August 16 and shared that the pair recently took their friendship to the next level and entered a romantic relationship. The pair were remained friends after wrapping up filming sometime in 2015, but Korean news outlet Dispatch released photos of them together on a number of occasions, which led the agencies to confirm the speculations.
