Many people and businesses believe in feng shui and it is widely practised in Singapore, not just by the Chinese alone. Feng shui is a Chinese system of geomancy based on positive energy where five elements are involved – wood, fire, earth, metal and water. Each of the elements has its properties and association with certain colours, materials and symbolism.

Major financial institutions and international companies hire geomancers for advice before opening a new branch or moving to new office location and consult on “good” days to move.
