Saint Joseph’s Church, Singapore
Saint Joseph’s Church is a beautiful Gothic style Church, located in Singapore’s Central Business District. The stand-out features of Saint Joseph’s Church are the central octagonal tower with a dome on top, 2 smaller octagonal towers, stained glass, tall arched windows and wonderful statues.
Singapore’s Saint Joseph’s Church is famous for its Good Friday and Easter celebrations. Built by the Portuguese Mission, St Joseph’s Church opened for service in 1912. It was built on the site of another Portuguese Church – “Church of São José”. Saint Joseph’s Church is a gazetted national monument. Cathedral of the Good Sheppard is located nearby.
