Singapore is a country, where people of many faiths live together and exercise religious freedom. Christian missionaries are quite active in the city state and there are around 400 churches in Singapore, which belong to both Catholics and Protestants. Protestants are twice the number of Catholics. The oldest church in Singapore is the Armenian Church. The governing body of churches in Singapore is the National Council of Churches of Singapore. Certain new churches in the city state are more material in nature than traditional churches. These new churches have huge income and massive material appeal. The pastors in these churches invite people to pray for cars, houses, jobs, holidays, and salary raise in exchange for their donations and multimillion dollar funding. #1: New Creation Church
It was founded in 1984 as a nondenominational church in the Suntec City Mall at the Rock Auditorium. At present, it has a congregation of more than 15,000 people and its annual income is $43 million.
#2: City Harvest Church
The City Harvest Church is located at Jurong West Street and Singapore Expo. It was founded in 1989 and has a congregation of about 25,000 people. Its income is $30 million per annum. Rev. Kong is its founder and pastor.
