University of Mpumalanga (UMP) is now open from 1 April and encourage prospective students (Undergraduates) to apply online or paper-based application forms as soon as possible the academic year.
An application must be made on the prescribed forms and must reach the University of Mpumalanga (UMP) before the closing date.

30 September (Education and Training programme)
31 October (all other programmes)
HOW TO APPLY to the university of mpumalanga
Step 1: Get your application form.
You will be able to get application forms electronically from their website or from certain UMP campuses.
- Hardcopy Application:
Once you have completed your application form, you may send it to UMP via email, post or hand delivery.

Step 2: Complete your application form in full.
*Remember you’ll need an email address.
Step 3: Attach all supporting documents.
Along with your application form, you will need to submit your documentation. This includes certified copies of:
- Final Grade 12 results (if available).
- Grade 11 results (if currently doing grade 12).
- A copy of your South African ID document OR passport for International students.
- Academic Record and Certificate of Conduct if previously enrolled at another university.
Step 4: Complete a student accommodation form.
Step 5: Find Funding.

Application Fees:
An administration fee, as indicated on the application form, must accompany each application. This money is non-refundable.
- SA applicants: R150
- SADC: R150
- Other African countries: R350
- Countries outside Africa: R500
Course Cost Range Per Annum
A registration fee of R3500 is payable on registration. Students who take their place at the UMP will have this fee deducted from their tuition fees. Tuition fees range from course to course.
